Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and experience in the food industry, particularly in meal preparation and catering. This role is essential for maintaining the high standards of our kitchen and ensuring that all dishes are prepared efficiently and to perfection. Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and marinating. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor food quality and presentation before serving. Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper sanitation practices. Help with inventory management, including receiving and storing supplies. Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary needs when required. Qualifications Previous experience in a food service or culinary role is preferred, but not mandatory. Knowledge of fine dining standards and catering practices is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality meal preparation. Excellent teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen. Familiarity with kitchen equipment. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed. Background cooking knowledge in modern Latin-Amercian cuisine.
